Are any of you familiar with the walmart commercials on english TV? In their commercials they refer to the employees of the store as associates. I've been starting to notice other crap jobs starting to give their employees fancy titles like associate or technician. Whats the deal? The meaning of associate is partner, are these companies trying to make their employees think they have some sort of partnership or special place with the company so that they work harder?
